About Jimmy Lee Morris

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Around 1982, finishing school and getting to work with Pink Floyd producer Ron Geesin in his studio on a protest song I had written for a school project called the Ronal Reagan Blues. He played his unique piano style on the song and I learnt a lot. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elvis Costello, My Aim Is True The Beatles, Let It Be The Rolling Stones, Some Girls (Remastered 2011) Remastered They are all packed with great songwriting and represent the best of each artists styles. All came at points in time that created an extra edge to the albums and opened doors in my head to a world of other music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “This Is the Life That You Chose” I wrote it at an intense musical time in my life and then got to record it for an album with the great producer and singer songwriter Simon Scardanelli who arranged it with amazing slide guitar which I love. He sang on it too which was a treat. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing in the great bands I have been in and now getting to play with my son who is an amazing young guitarist Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To have one of my songs recorded and released by someone else and spread the word.
