In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of the first musicians I remember seeing on TV was "Bad"-era Michael Jackson. Not long after that, I remember hearing several different R&B songs on the radio, in addition to being introduced to Hiphop via Run DMC. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eric B. & Rakim, Don't Sweat the Technique Lupe Fiasco, Tetsuo & Youth Sade, Stronger Than Pride These three albums are just a few of my favorite to play because of my criteria for deeming an album "classic". I've determined that if one can listen to an album consistently for 10 years and beyond, said album fits the criteria. Tell us why you chose this song. “TURBULENCE” This song's very name comes from my dislike of turbulence (or "rough air") during flights. One November when headed to VA, I began writing it to take my mind off the intense turbulence that we were flying through; I can thank my dislike for verse 1. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I first found out that I'd be headlining my own show at the legendary First Avenue. I'd initially assumed that the show would take place at a different venue that they owned, so this was quite a pleasant surprise. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As long as I'm able to reach a considerable number of people and influence them positively with my music, I'll be fulfilled. I do aim to gain exposure through television and other media; but this is very purpose-driven.
