In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My grandparents took me to see Annie when I was six. I loved how music could tell a story and move you emotionally. I got a small keyboard soon after, then a guitar at thirteen, and I’ve been chasing music ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Radiohead, OK Computer Sufjan Stevens, Illinois Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot OK Computer – Radiohead, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot – Wilco, Illinois – Sufjan Stevens. These albums showed me music could be experimental, intimate, grand, and deeply emotional. They shaped my songwriting and sound. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Finally releasing music I’ve been writing for over a decade in the daydrunk project. Sharing these songs with people and hearing them connect has been incredibly rewarding. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to record a Triple J like a version of a song and play the Sydney Opera House. These are goals I’m working toward over the next few years.
