About Jamie Richards

A staunch traditionalist who wants to bring country music back to its roots, Jamie Richards has won a strong Southwest following for his songs rich in pedal steel, broken hearts, and plainspoken storytelling. As a staff songwriter with Curb, Richards enjoyed success with songs recorded by Hal Ketchum ("That's What You Get for Loving Me"), Ken Mellons ("Believe"), and Kevin Fowler ("Loose, Loud and Crazy"), but he was eager to make his mark as an artist. Through 2013, he released several solo albums and placed over a dozen singles in the Top Ten of the Texas Regional Radio chart. Latest & Greatest (2016), released on Richards' own label, presented five new songs and new versions of some of his most popular tunes. ~ Mark Deming
