Coloma

Taking the Bryan Ferry-cum-new romantic sound into the electronica age, Coloma is the creation of vocalist Rob Taylor and producer Alex Paulick, a couple of Brits who relocated to Cologne, Germany. Taylor’s voice hovers somewhere between Ferry’s suave croon and Andy Bell’s lilt, and he’s fond of oddball lyricism and lighthearted wordplay, while Paulick’s backdrops switch from experimental jazz to industrial to electro-pop, often even in the course of a song.
