The Lion's Daughter

The Lion's Daughter is an inventive Missouri-based trio with one foot in the viscera-stained halls of extreme metal and the other in the spectral electronic horror emissions of John Carpenter and Goblin. Emerging in 2011, the group's early works were rooted in blackened sludge metal. That all changed with the arrival of Future Cult in 2018, which retained the sonic weight of its predecessors while introducing eerie synths and sci-fi/horror atmospherics to the mix, a style the band would further refine on 2021's cinematic Skin Show. ~ James Christopher Monger
