About July for Kings

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my most powerful musical memories was seeing Genesis in 1992. My father was sick so my mom took me instead. That massive live concert experience revealed how powerful music could be, sparking my journey into becoming a singer and songwriter. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deftones, White Pony Radiohead, OK Computer Stone Temple Pilots, Purple (2019 Remaster) Stone Temple Pilots "Purple" - Perfect balance of heavy riffs and melodic vulnerability Deftones "White Pony" - Redefined possibilities of metal (beauty+power) Radiohead "OK Computer" - showed how alt rock could be both experimental and accessible Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tarantula” This song existed in demo form for over a decade. It is about the stories that my mother and her siblings told about growing up, moving around the world as military kids. Although it's not a rocker it always had a special emotional pull. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We recently did a big 20th anniversary show at The Woodward Theater in Cincinnati, Ohio. This brought past and present band members together, with fans singing every word, revealing how music builds lasting powerful connections across space and time. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We're excited to create special events that bridge our Cincinnati roots with new horizons, connecting communities through rock and roll as we span now between Ohio and Washington state. Stay tuned!
