About Noel McKay

Lone Star State singer-songwriter Noel McKay combines the wry, hill country storytelling of James McMurtry and longtime mentor Guy Clark with a sound that draws from every branch of Texas roots music. The Lubbock-raised artist has worked with his brother Hollis (the McKay Brothers) and award-winning flat-picking songwriter Brennen Leigh (McKay & Leigh). In 2015, he released a pair of solo efforts, Is That So Much to Ask and Sketches of South Central Texas, with Blue, Blue, Blue and You Only Live Always appearing in 2021 and 2024, respectively.
