In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mother sang in church for as long as I can remember. She practically had a solo every Sunday and would rehearse through the whole week so any place I've called home has always been filled with music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aaliyah, Aaliyah Brandy, Full Moon Jill Scott, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 All of these albums came to me at a time when my sense of self was coming into full bloom. Each one taught me something essential about myself and are part of me forever. Feminine power, honed vocal prowess, rich artistry. Tell us why you chose this song. “Vacation Bae” This song comes from a very real experience and reality I'm blessed to exist in. The love in my life heals me, motivates me, and restores me constantly so I'm never without. It makes each day feel like a vacation. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I released my debut album, Emerge (Deluxe), I had a release concert. All my friends and family showed up, helped, volunteered, and we SLAYED! I felt so accomplished and simultaneously supported and uplifted by community. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes! I'm ready to shoot a fabulous music video! I'm ready to open up for a major artist touring in my city! I'm ready to get my music on the soundtrack to a major film and TV Show!
