Hugh Masekela, Hugh Masekela: Greatest Hits Koinonia, Koinonia Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Miles Davis, so fresh & so unconventional & economical both in composing and in performance. Koinonia, introduced me to funky spiritual music. Hugh Masekela, a strong voice in a strange land, who never forgot his roots & the plight of his people. Tell us why you chose this song. “Umoya Wami (My Soul, It is Well)” First song I ever wrote completely in my mother tongue of IsiZulu. It helped me discover how poetic this language can be.
