German producer and DJ southstar makes highly energetic, yearning dance tracks and remixes inspired by trance, techno, alternative, and hip-hop. First appearing on his own with the 2021 EP Blue Tape, and also active as a trap producer for German rappers, he steadily released high-BPM tracks, and broke through with his Oliver Tree-sampling 2022 single "Miss You." He received additional notice for his remixes of songs by Empire of the Sun, Artemas, Ellie Goulding, and others, and released EPs such as 2024's Digital Chaos and 2025's Sun FM, as well as singles like "Echoes."
