The rapper has expressed his love for Bay Area hip-hop. • Payroll Giovanni became a standout member of the Detroit rap supergroup Doughboyz Cashout, which merged two crews, Doughboyz and Cashoutboyz, in 2006. • In 2013, Doughboyz Cashout signed with Jeezy’s CTE World label. That year, they released the free mixtape Boss Yo Life Up Gang, featuring plenty of DJ Mustard beats. • Payroll Giovanni partnered with fellow CTE artist and hit-making producer Cardo for the celebrated 2016 album Big Bossin Vol. 1.
