So fraught were politics and culture in the 2010s that a band could come under intense fire for strongly protesting authoritarianism. In Germany, that band is Feine Sahne Fischfilet, whose 2009 song "Staatsgewalt" earned them a lawsuit for potentially inciting violence. The controversy elevated their profile considerably -- and by the time the group released Sturm & Dreck in 2018, their ska-influenced sound and anti-authoritarian lyrics started to earn them chart success.
