Spiders

Based in the musically rich city of Gothenburg, Swedish hard rockers Spiders employ a refreshingly spirited and decidedly non-black metal-influenced sound that harks back to late-'70s and early-'80s decibel pushers like Girlschool, Motörhead, and Australian underground punk purveyors Radio Birdman, as well as fellow retro-rock Scandinavians Graveyard and Kvelertak. Spiders' debut long-player, 2012's Flash Point, earned the group a Swedish Radio Award nomination for Best Rock/Metal Album of the Year. The band continued to refine their classic and modern rock influences on subsequent efforts including Shake Electric (2014), Killer Machine (2018), and Sharp Objects (2025).
