Sven Helbig

Self-taught German composer Sven Helbig strikes an interesting balance in his craft, putting a postmodern spin on classical form while applying those variations to mainstream pop and rock music. A co-founder of the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, he put his arranging talents to work on records by Rammstein and Pet Shop Boys before coming into his own as a composer with acclaimed works like Pocket Symphonies (2013), I Eat the Sun and Drink the Rain (2016), Skills (2022), and Requiem A (2025).
