Holly Golightly

Holly Golightly is a musical shape-shifter whose creative constant is a voice that's pleasingly bittersweet, bitingly honest, and completely unpretentious. Depending on the project, she can be heard channeling vintage girl group sounds with her band Thee Headcoatees, garage rock (her several collaborations with Billy Childish), rough-hewn pop (most of her solo LPs), late-night blues (2001's Desperate Little Town), and lo-fi folk and country with Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs. No matter the setting, Golightly's talents as a singer and songwriter shine bright, and records she's made some 30 years after her debut as a solo artist -- like 2025's Look Like Trouble -- are just as luminous as her early work.
