About Livingston Taylor
A long-establishing singer/songwriter whose eclectic body of work borrows from folk, pop, jazz, and even gospel, Livingston Taylor has maintained a consistent presence in American music for over five decades. The younger brother of soft rock superstar James Taylor, he began recording in the early '70s and landed a clutch of charting hits with songs like "Carolina Day," "Get Out of Bed," and "I Will Be in Love with You." During the '80s and '90s, he branched out in numerous directions, hosting a syndicated television show, writing children's books, and working as an instructor at Boston's Berklee College of Music. Meanwhile, Taylor continued to tour and record well into the 21st century, releasing critically acclaimed albums like 2005's There You Are Again, 2010's Last Alaska Moon, and 2017's Safe Home. A 2025 album, Symphonic Steps, saw him collaborating with the BBC Concert Orchestra on a retrospective of his music.
