John Bergamo

Born in 1940 in Englewood, New Jersey, John Bergamo utilized an array of odd instruments, African and Asian rhythms, and textures that are the staple of modern percussionists. His work fell into both world and new categories, and his solo percussion release on CMP has something for every taste. A faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts, Bergamo died in October 2013 at the age of 73. ~ Ron Wynn
