Blake Hazard

Blake Hazard is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has made a name for herself in the indie rock band the Submarines as well as with her own solo work, which blends gritty indie pop/rock with personal singer/songwriter fare. Hazard debuted in 2002 with the solo Little Airplane. She formed the Submarines with John Dragonetti and issued their band debut, the breakup-informed Declare a New State!, four years later, with the more uplifting Honeysuckle Weeks following in 2008. The Submarines enjoyed a run of placements in movies and TV shows like Gossip Girl that lasted until after their final album and EP saw release in 2011. Hazard returned with the solo LP The Eleanor Islands in 2013. The more '70s songwriter-influenced Possibilities at Sea followed in 2017.
