In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Before real venues, we did the backpack tour: showing up at Southern Ontario high schools unannounced, playing acoustic as the bell rang. Security kicked us off, cops got called, kids stayed. That is where we cut our teeth and found our first fans. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Foo Fighters, Foo Fighters Jimmy Eat World, Bleed American The Police, Reggatta De Blanc (Remastered 2003) Jimmy Eat World, Bleed American: grit, emotion and pop instinct at once. The Police, Reggatta de Blanc: what a three piece can do with space. Foo Fighters' debut: heavy and vulnerable in the same breath. All three shaped how we write. Tell us why you chose this song. “Highway Song” Every drive, every half empty room, every reason we had to quit and did not. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing to a sold out Bronson Centre in Ottawa. Beautiful room, and the crowd sang every word back louder than we did. Still one of the best shows we have played, and the night the songs stopped feeling like only ours. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto. We spent our teenage summers on that lawn watching other bands. Getting up there in our own city is the dream we have not crossed off yet.
