Steve Earle, The Best of Steve Earle: Green Series The Pogues, Rum Sodomy & the Lash Townes Van Zandt, Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas I feel in love with The Pogues' Rum Sodomy and the Lash. It was folk and punk with attitude and great storytelling. Steve Earle inspired me to start writing songs. He's inspiring musically and politically. Townes rules, especially live. It's about overcoming a harrowing ordeal and surviving to become a better person.
