About Consortium Project

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. A musical & lyrical Concept story I created & produced in 1999 to bring musicians together from around the world in a musical Consortium for the 1st of 5 progrock metal albums called Ian Parry's CONSORTIUM PROJECT 1 CRIMINALS & KINGS 2023 Remaster. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered Queensrÿche, Operation: Mindcrime Rush, 2112 (Remastered 2012) Simply because these 3 albums represent entirely what a concept album really means and for the incredible talents of the musicians and and their songwriting skills which have been an amazing positive and creative influence to me & other musicians. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Garden of Eden” Simply because it represents the power in the style of prog-rock music from my 1st Consortium Project concept album & most of all illustrates the intense atmosphere in the lyrics I wrote around my concept story & lets you hear the musicians talents. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with Zak Starkey (son of Beatles Ringo Starr) in Mono Pacific 1981, recording at John Lennon's studio using his mic he used for his hit "Imagine" & singing for the King of Morocco for Charity. 1997 voted best Top 20 rock singers in Japan. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To revisit & record one more Consortium Project album C 6 & have my story being told in Book & movies as well as the audio albums. Touring the world one more time, then to help many struggling people, before I retire a happy & content human being.
