Ty Herndon

Though contemporary country music heartthrob Ty Herndon looked like an overnight success when his first single, “What Mattered Most” hit number one, the Mississippi native had slugged it out in Nashville and Texas for over a decade before making it big. After his initial success, Herndon recorded sporadically and saw his career often impeded by personal difficulties. Nevertheless, his soulful brand of gospel-influenced country continued to make new fans and in 2007 he released the career highlight album, RIGHT ABOUT NOW.
