About Robert Parish

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories are Dolly Parton, "Satin Sheets" by Jeanne Pruitt, "Half-Breed" by Cher, and "Slipping and Sliding" by Little Richard. Mom's musical tastes ran through all genres just like mine - so lots of rock-n-roll, soul, & country. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aretha Franklin, I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You (Mono) Aretha Franklin, Lady Soul Fleetwood Mac, The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac (Remastered) Aretha's voice and vocal styles dig deep into emotional energy on these albums. She had finally found her groove and what she put on those recordings was truly magical! You can feel it to the bone. And "Rumors" is simply one of the best albums ever. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “If You Called Me Today” This song came to me from a place of deep pain. It's not upbeat, but one of my favorite children. The terrible loneliness I was feeling could have stopped by going back, but I knew it was the wrong thing. The song really wrote itself in 15 minutes.
