About Norman Cooper
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Every sunday mornings, my parents will play music in the house. I remember being fascinated by Mike Oldfield's music and sound design I wanted to explore music and make music like him What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Pink Floyd, The Dark Side Of The Moon (50th Anniversary) [2023 Remaster] Supertramp, Crime of the Century Remastered The Who, Quadrophenia (2013 Remaster) I love those albums because I know I'll never make that sort of music, but I listen to them as reference and inspiration. They guide my creativity and support me Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Calm Aftermath (Alternative Strings)” A short film needed a small and quiet piece of music and there was no time, so I did this piano piece because it was simple to make. It is now my most popular song by far. Sometimes the simpliest things can be surprising. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I co-created CALLS that went to be produced for Canal+ in a 10 episodes french TV series and then Apple bought the adaptation for their AppleTV+ platform. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to make melancholic music for a HBO documentary or TV series
