About David Grigg

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories would have to be of dancing around the living room as a child with my old man as he blasted The Bee Gees on his massive stereo system. He always had the best audio gear, so my appreciation for good sound started early! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elton John, Hans Zimmer, Tim Rice, The Lion King (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Robot Koch, The Next Billion Years We Lost the Sea, Crimea (Remastered) Crimea was the album I toured when I was in We Lost the Sea, so it's very close to me. Lion King was the first Zimmer soundtrack I ever heard, I connected with the emotions deeply as I watched the film. The Next Billion Years is a beautiful journey. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Dance With The Moon” This song is a love note from the mountain to the moon. A dance between the masculine and the feminine, between grounded presence and playful beauty. As you listen, imagine a passionate, sensual dance. Full of emotions, and under the stars. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It would have to be when I was system sound engineer for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing Star Wars at the Sydney Opera House. One of my favourite scores performed live, amplified right before me as I sat in the best seat of the house. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To compose the most beautiful, sound healing album and have it heard around the world, bringing healing to those who need it. Sound has so much power, music is life. I wish to tap deeper into this realm and create music that heals.
