Green Apple Quick Step

Seattle band Green Apple Quick Step was part of the alternative rock boom in the mid-'90s as grunge mellowed into the mainstream. Their songs were made up of pushy drums and psychedelic, overdriven guitars, but never skimped on pop hooks, landing them on multiple major motion picture soundtracks and securing a deal with Columbia for their third album, 1998's recorded but never officially released New Disaster. The band broke up shortly after the debacle with Columbia, but reunited occasionally in the late 2000s and 2010s.
