About Tori Sparks

A singer, songwriter, and producer who merges blues, rock, and roots music with flamenco fusion and other world music influences, Tori Sparks is graced with a fiery, gutsy delivery worthy of Ani DiFranco. After emerging with the 2003 EP Tidewaters, she released her first album, Rivers + Roads, in 2005. Under This Yellow Sun (2007) put her on the map with the roots rock single "Cold War." The Scorpion in the Story (2009) favored an acoustic palette, and with El Mar (2014) and La Huerta (2017), she gave fresh context to her bluesy vocal style by collaborating with flamenco musicians in Spain. Taken from a concert in Barcelona, the live album Wait No More appeared in 2019. A 2021 vinyl reissue of El Mar coincided with the American's tenth anniversary of relocating from Nashville to Barcelona. Sparks navigated these genres and more on the ambitious, 21-track Cabinet of Curiosities (2026).
