Banchee

Banchee put out a couple albums of psychedelic hard rock in the late 1960s and early 1970s whose ebullience couldn't compensate for a lack of focus; incongruity between Crosby, Stills & Nash-styled harmonies and hard rock guitars; and, above all, an absence of notable songwriting, or even riffs. Both albums were paired on a single-CD reissue in 2001. ~ Richie Unterberger
