Funk seeped into my soul, and the bassist, Puerto Rican Joe, whom I dubbed “the funkiest cat alive”, sparked my lifelong love for the bass. Chaka Khan, Epiphany: The Best of Chaka Khan, Vol. 1 Stevie Wonder, Original Musiquarium Victor Wooten, Soul Circus Chaka’s vocal genius combined with Anthony Jackson’s incredible bass playing is a match made in heaven. Soul Circus is a staple for solo bassists. Musiquarium is a compilation of Stevie’s best and funkiest music.
