With all the versatility of their namesake, Manila-based rockers Sandwich have kept us on our toes for over two decades. After a public debut at a university back in 1998, the supergroup introduced a multi-dimensional sound, embracing grunge, post-punk and garage rock. From imploding guitars and drums on 1999’s Grip Stand Throw to modern keyboard hooks on Five on the Floor (2006), to pulsating dance beats on Space/Spase (Club Sandwich Remix) (2019)—the band always test how far their music can go. Never to be underestimated, Sandwich are hungry to adapt and reinvent.
