In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is hearing my mom play her records in the kitchen—vibing out, smiling, just feeling the music. Late ’80s and early ’90s salsa from Celia Cruz and Luis Enrique. I grew up loving those records. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hey!!” Hey!! was my first song to hit the radio and get real DJ support. I made it in college on cheap speakers, just chasing a dream. It’ll always mean the world to me—raw, imperfect, but honest. Somehow, it connected, and I’ll never forget that.
