In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was improvising on the old upright piano in my neighborhood community center. My parents soon signed me up for guitar lessons, and caught me creatively modifying my children's record player after I shorted out the house! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Charles Ives, Howard Hanson, The Eastman-Rochester Orchestra,, Charles Ives: Symphony No. 3 / Three Places in New England Jan Garbarek, Jon Christensen, Keith Jarrett, Palle Danielsson, Belonging Joni Mitchell, Don Juan's Reckless Daughter I first heard Belonging while in high school, which opened up an entire world of jazz for me. Don Juan's Reckless Daughter is the perfect melding of songwriting and outstanding performance. The Ives album opened so many doors for me as a composer.
