School Is Cool

Influenced by the likes of Arcade Fire and the Pixies, School Is Cool is a Belgian Baroque pop band featuring Johannes Genard (lead vocals), Toon Van Baelen (bass), Andrew Van Ostade (glockenspiel), Matthias Dillen (drums), and Nele Paelinck (keyboards). Formed in Antwerp in 2009, the band won both the audience award at FrappantPOP, an initiative in its hometown to discover new talent, and the prestigious Humo's Rock Rally Contest before releasing a debut single, "New Kids in Town," in 2010. Produced by Das Pop's Reinhard Vanbergen, the group's first album, Entropology, followed a year later.
