About Georgio

Georgio draws from a tumultuous upbringing, heartache, literature, and a host of French, American, and British influences in making streetwise hip-hop that is both lyrical and melodic. A native of Seine-Saint-Denis, he began rapping in his early teens and self-released his first couple projects before he turned 20. In early 2014, as a guest on Fauve's "Voyous," he entered the French chart for the first time, and within a couple months, he scored his first charting single as a lead artist with the title song from À l'abri, his fifth EP-length release. After further success with the full-lengths Bleu noir (2015), Héra (2016), and XX5 (2018), Georgio cracked the Top Ten of the album chart with Sacré (2021). Années sauvages (2023), featuring the number 26 hit "Quand tout s'enflamme," followed by Gloria (2025), fared similarly with Georgio's increasingly philosophical outlook married to pared-down productions.
