About Rodrigo Camargo

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music was always part of my life, but I specifically knew I wanted to be a musician when I heard the Beatles' "1" album for the first time. I was 7 years old and it was an introduction to the vast world of music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Astor Piazzolla, The American Clavé Recordings Hilary Hahn, Hilary Hahn Plays Bach Takács Quartet, Beethoven: The Late String Quartets Those albums reflect and summarize my affection for the music of Beethoven, Bach and Piazzolla. They are maybe the three composers who inspire me the most. Plus, I always learn something new every time I listen to those albums. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pas de Deux” Pas de Deux, for violin and piano is very energetic and upbeat. It reflects some of my inspirations from the classical composers as well as some contemporary music and even rock music! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? For sure one of the most important moments in my career was the release of my first album, 5 Poemas de Fernando Pessoa with Maria Gerk and Gustavo Ballesteros. Releasing Two Duos, a few months later was a big happy moment too! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes. In a near future I have plans to record a full-length album with some of my compositions for different chamber ensembles. Stay tuned!
