About Stuart Stone
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first time in a nightclub that played only house music. Everyone was facing the dj, dancing and reacting to music like I had never seen before. Shivers went down my spine and the hairs on my arms stood up. From that moment, music was in my soul. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daft Punk, Discovery Moby, Go - The Very Best of Moby (Deluxe) The Streets, Original Pirate Material All groundbreaking albums that are still relevant. Energetic, yet playfully repetitive with awesome samples and a happy overall rhythmic vibe that just kept me coming back. Their various production and song writing styles greatly influenced my music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Late Night Booty Calls” It's quintessentially me. A blend of old and new skool sounds, deep funky basslines and uplifting synths. Giving me that euphoric feeling we all crave. With vocals that provide a high energy experience that makes me dance like no one is watching. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I first learned to mix 3 months after buying some 1210s in 1993. My hearing changed from not being able to distinguish between the track in my headphones and the one through the speakers. Like a switch turning on, I could now hear both clearly. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I once played a festival with over 22000 people. But would love to dj, or even better headline a bigger event. I want to perform in as many countries as possible around the world. Also, I'd like to collaborate and produce music with more artists.
