About Starsmith
British producer, songwriter, and DJ Finlay Dow-Smith, known professionally as Starsmith, is recognized for his electronic-infused style and chart-topping work with Ellie Goulding. He emerged to fame along with the singer in 2009, co-writing and producing on Goulding's breakthrough debut album, Lights. He has contributed to equally high-profile albums by Paloma Faith, Marina and the Diamonds, and Jessie Ware. Smith also co-wrote and produced Jess Glynne's debut LP, I Cry When I Laugh, and sophomore album, Always in Between, the latter of which spawned the number one U.K. hit "I'll Be There." He has retained a close relationship with Goulding, contributing to her albums Halcyon and Brightest Blue. Smith has released his own music, including the 2011 Lesson One EP and 2024 Goulding-co-written single "Leave Me Slowly."
