Jaakko Luoma

Top Scandinavian bassoonist Jaakko Luoma is an expert on both modern and historical instruments. He is also a prominent educator. Luoma has been a member of the Tapiola Sinfonietta since he was 20 and now serves as the principal bassoonist of that ensemble. He has recorded for the major Scandinavian labels BIS and Ondine, and in 2025, he issued the album Bassoon Concertos: Crusell, Du Puy, Berwald, Brendler on the latter.
