About The Bravery
Joining the New Wave/post-punk revival of 2004-5, the Bravery wore its influences on its thin sleeve more prominently than many of its U.S./U.K. counterparts, easily calling to mind the Cure, New Order, and Depeche Mode, among other 1980s acts. The Brooklyn-based band entered a high-profile faux feud with the Killers, and like those kindred spirits, it went for a less keyboard-heavy sound on its sophomore outing, THE SUN AND THE MOON, resulting in even greater chart success, particularly with the hit single “Believe.”
