About Help Stamp Out Loneliness
The Manchester indie pop group Help Stamp Out Loneliness were formed by two former members of the Language of Flowers. Taking inspiration from the same “twee” indie pop as their previous group, but adding a slightly darker and more grown-up sound, the band recorded its first single, “Torvill & Dean"/”Record Shop,” in early 2009 for the Papillons Noir label. After playing shows and releasing the song "Pacific Trash Vortex" in 2010, the band recorded its debut full-length at home with help from ace producer Woodie Taylor (of Comet Gain). The resulting self-titled album was co-released by Where It's at Is Where You Are and Papillons Noir in the spring of 2011. ~ Tim Sendra
