Dawn Sears

Dawn Sears owns a brash, emotionally convincing voice that grabs a song with impressive authority -- she's sort of a modern Wanda Jackson with just a touch of polish, or Brenda Lee with more honky tonk feeling. Her excellent debut didn't receive much a chance from her record company, but she signed with Decca Records after a couple of years of singing harmony in Vince Gill's band. ~ Michael McCall
