Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band

Initially gaining attention with tongue-in-cheek “public service announcements” that they posted on their MySpace page, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band emerged from the Seattle indie-rock scene with a sound in line with acts such as the Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse. Fronted by singer guitarist Benjamin Verdoes, MSHVB also features his wife, Traci Eggleston (various instruments), and his pre-teen adopted brother, Marshall (drums), making the group somewhat of a family affair. After garnering considerable buzz, the ensemble released its self-titled debut in early 2009.
