In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is the day John Lennon passed away. I was 12. The next day, at my first guitar lesson, I asked to learn “Rocky Raccoon.” That moment helped shape me as a songwriter and artist. The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) The Byrds, The Best of the Byrds - Greatest Hits, Vol. II The Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed Remastered 2019 The Beatles – “White Album” set me on my path as a musician. The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed showed how raw, roots-driven rock could carry emotion and edge. The Byrds – Greatest Hits Vol. 2 deepened my love of their sound and style. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cast a Line” “Cast A Line” is a song I wrote with my mentor and friend Peter Pendras during Covid. We wrote it about the deep loss that comes from losing someone who meant everything to you—your whole world—and learning how to carry that absence forward.
