Close Your Eyes

The double-time rhythmic chords and scream/sung melodies of Close Your Eyes are something of a Trojan horse for songs that indicate a deep undercurrent of Christian faith. With the uplifting “Song for the Broken,” off their debut We Will Overcome, going viral in the post-YouTube, pre-streaming world, the group engaged in a half-decade marked by heavy music and almost heavier drama, with key bandmembers passing in and out before the group fell apart in 2015. Since 2022, many of the key members have reunited.
