Abduction

U.K. black metal band Abduction honor the tradition of the genre with harrowing, tortured imagery and unrelenting blasts of speed and aggression, yet they also push their sound to new places with experimentation in the vocals and a delivery that diverges from the usual wraithlike howling. The group leaned into a more lo-fi sound on earlier albums like 2016's To Further Dreams of Failure, but they evolved into the more defined production and more complex song structures of their 2025 album Existentialismus.
