About Alfred Gomez, Jr.
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember that as a child in my house there was a piano and drums lying around. They were gifts that my father had given to my mother who liked music, she never became a musician, but those were my first toys and that's where it all started for me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alex Cuba, Alex Cuba John Mayer, Continuum Jorge Drexler, Eco These three albums I know by heart, they accompanied me for many hours and inspired me a lot to want to make music and record my own discos. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. I wrote this song in a very cold winter while I was living in Buenos Aires. A time when nothing was going well, it was through making music that I reconciled with many things in life. "4Ü" was that catalyst that gave me what I needed to keep going. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It is a collection of moments, many of them recording the albums and others in concerts that have been very rewarding. It is always moving to hear the public sing your songs. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have many places where I would like to play and a good number of demos to record as well as ideas for new projects that encourage me to continue writing, recording and going out to play.
