Joey Ramone

With his gangly frame, long black hair, tiny red shades, and omnipresent black leather jacket, Joey Ramone--lead singer of the legendary Ramones--was the living, breathing embodiment of the outsider misfit done good. His slurred croon was as integral to the Ramones sound as Johnny's buzzsaw guitar and Dee Dee hooks, yet perhaps more than anything else it was Joey Ramone's almost palpable passion for rock & roll that remains his most important legacy. Joey's only solo album, DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME, was released shortly after his death from lymphoma in 2002.
