BIG MOUNTAIN

Formed in the early 1990s, the San Diego-based reggae-pop ensemble Big Mountain first garnered attention for its sun-splashed version of Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way,” which was prominently featured on the soundtrack to the ’94 film REALITY BITES. Unfortunately, the band was unable to duplicate that success, resulting in line-up and label changes. Despite these difficulties, the group continued into the 21st century, solidifying its reputation as a light reggae act adept at covering pop tunes.
