In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We started the Folksurvivalclub in 2008 when we were joined by the 'Nightingale from Antwerp' Marjan Cornille. We wanted to perform our own songs with this trio since Ad van Meurs had written songs that had a more ' female' character. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Esbjörn Svensson Trio Plays Monk Eva Cassidy, The Best of Eva Cassidy Joni Mitchell, Joni Mitchell at Newport (Live) I like these artists because they are groundbreaking, Esbjorn Svensson is an amazing piano player, Eva Cassidy is a great singer and Joni Mitchell because of her great performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 2022. Tell us why you chose this song. “Break of Dawn” I love this song because of it's beautiful lyrics and the great voice of our singer Marjan Cornille. It was written by my husband Ad van Meurs and it tells the story of someone who is walking the streets in the early morning listening to the birds.
